Southern Apprentice Challenge 2007 Results
Fitting & Machining Project
This competition required the apprentices to machine components for a small soft faced hammer, based on the drawing provided and to high tolerances and finishes, within a specified timeframe. The machining had to be correct so that the project components would fit together to make the finished article.
First placed Trent Roscoe (James Hargest High School) machining an aluminium soft face insert.
Second placed Nick Tobin (James Hargest High School) measuring a component.
