Carpentry Competition (WorldSkills Nationals)

Carpenters construct timber frames, floors and roof anc ceiling framework for buildings. They install fittings for houses, industrial and commercial structures. They can also make alterations or additons to existing buildnigs and carry out renovations.

Carpenters must be able to read building plans and are often required to estimate costs of building materials and labour time for a project.
